While this is all pretty much speculation, im 95% sure, that a bot just threw some of the polls in the onrpg game choice polls. And I believe this is due to the lame promotion events aeria games has.

You'll find a huge series of posts with 0 post counts, promoting shaiya. The vote number for shaiya just went way up. Sure, a lot of you may like shaiya, but until about 2 days ago, Atlantica was leading easily. Now its DOMO and shaiya. DOMO i can believe, but the amount of votes shaiya has gone up by is ridiculous

This one's boasts 112 votes for 12sky at the time of me writing. Seriosly, 112 votes for 12sky? for gameplay? I'm sorry, but I'm not buying that.

Those are the ones i've noticed. As far as i'm concerned, those polls are now invalid. And while this is most likely due to some greedy asshole who can't afford to pay for some Aeria points, and wants to get them through aeria's promo events, partial blame still goes to Aeria IMO.


EDIT: I've made a thread petitioning to remove aeria games' games from the member's choice polls. Support it if you're as pissed as I am:

Whats the point of having onrpg member polls, if the polls are ruled by bots. Hell, i definitely dont think Shaiya is the best MMO of 2008. I'm sure a lot of others don't. You may think aeria games is a good and stable host, but that doesn't make all their games the best.

Onrpg's member polls, are now just a publicty stunt for Aeria now, so that ones the polls are over, Aeria games can boast about how they won member polls at this site, when really, they're just paying a botter with aeria points to rig the polls.

Like I said, the polls are invalid to me right now. And BTW, the project torque spamming is going on right this moment as I'm typing.

Sure DoMo was fun for like a week but then it becomes a snooze fest grind. Shaiya's difficulty setting was a pretty stupid move. SMT was fun but wasn't that great and certainly not enough to beat Aion (wtf?). Combat was too slow, walking was even slower (god is that even possible?), and character customization completely sucks. Not like there's anything new in the future either except more pokemon. The rest of their games aren't even worth mentioning.

meh whatever I don't put any stake in other peoples opinions of games. I watch videos on youtube if poss and I try them when I am able and I forge my own opinions. If they wanna go to some great lengths to vote for there own games that's kinda sad but meh who cares :P
