L mounts his sniper rifle on a broken wall. Quickly searching the battlefield, he sees a woman fighting the Strogg. Holding his breath to steady his aim, he looks through the scope and starts firing away, picking off the Strogg one by one where the woman stood. Thwang!
Empty. He reaches in one of his chest pockets and takes out a mag of explosive rounds. Slamming it into the ammo slot and takes aim at a cluster of Strogg taking cover. BOOM! Blood, limbs, whole bodies, and debris fly into the air. Figuring that the woman was safe enough, he continues scanning the battlefield, picking off any Strogg that was in his crosshair.

-------------Flashback----------------
"Daddy, I'm scared!" whimpered Camille.
"It's already, baby, daddy will make the bad men go away. For now, stay with grandma and grandpa until I come back," L said, staring into his daugther's eyes.
"Don't go daddy!" Camille pleaded, tears running down her cheeks. L takes her head into his hands, using his thumbs to wipe off the tears. Bringing her head forward, he kisses her forehead. " Daddy will be back, I promise." He looks to his parents.
"Be careful, son," his dad said. He picks up Camille and hands her to his mom.
"Take care of her." Kissing his mom and hugging his dad, he then unclips the hanging straps on his chest. Flattening it, he inserts his sniper rifle into one of the straps, locking it in place, and does the same thing with his assault rifle. Pulling the straps past his arms, he locks the clips together across his chest. Picking up his pistol, he secures it into his holster at his hip. Taking one last look at his only family, he steps outside the house.
To think this day had to come so soon, he thought to himself. Running to his Husky, he pulls his leg over the side and starts the engine. I'll come back Camille, I promise...

She picked up one of the Strogg's weapons to help her out. She aimed at them and tried firing at them. She said through her raido, "Thanks for whoever sniped those stroggs out of the way. i'm fine now"

"Control, this is Valentine, requesting Titan drop off, 1 click west of green smoke, Over." Valentine pulls out a smoke grenade, pulling out the ring and throwing it 4-5 meters to his left.

"Valentine, this is Control, request confirmed. Titan dropoff in T-minus 15 minutes. Over and out."

Dammit, we don't have 15 minutes! We'll be lucky if we can hold them off for another 10... L moves up from his cover, slinging his sniper rifle across his back and pulling forward his assault rifle. Pushing a button on his scanner, he scans the battlefield and all the Strogg. Looking at the small glass, a 3-D map shows all possible hiding places, flanking strategies, and possible escape routes. Using his map as an advantage, he charges foward onto the battlefield, taking cover every so often.

She dives into a cover position with a Strogg weapon in hand she took. She heads towards L's cover spot. As she reaches him she says, "Hey, need some help. I can help cover you if they get to close, you just pick away the further ones."

"Sir! We just got a distress signal for an titan pickup, it will take ETA 15 minute to prepare it" "Get me a badger truck instead," He responds steadily. "On it in 5 minutes!" --- A few minutes later he hops in and buckles in. he enables his shield and hydraulics, Then he activates his radar and starts the engine.

"Sure thing miss. The name is Valentine, L Valentine...and you are?" Catching a flicker of movement a few yards away, he swerves his gun over, peeks through the scope and fires.

she fired her gun at a Strogg taking him down and said, "You can call me Kishiha"

"Kishiha...quite an unusual name if you dont mind me saying," L said, reloading.

She takes out the empty cartilage and puts in another she stole from the Stroggs. She then said, "Yea, alot of people say that, You can call me teach." A bullet whizzed by her head and she turns and fires cursing the Strogg out while shooting him to death.

"Teach..." L says to himself, amused by the sudden outburst of the woman next to him. Smiling to himself, he quietly unmounted his sniper rifle, and flips it onto his back, strapping it in. "We should get back to the base, you look exhausted and I forgot my secret bullets there." He turns on his heel and begins to walk back up the hill.
