Hi, if your in need for a 3d modeler I'm the guy. I will work for projects that have much anticipation or for money. I can post some models I have done here if needed. Personally I have worked on a few projects of my own and also on a XBox 360 game, which unfortunately I cannot talk about due to a contract.
Please add me on msn or email me at vish_sehgal@hotmail.com, or write down your project information here. I would be glad to help! Please keep in mind that I don't want any unexperienced people who just need me for a game they "want" to make, or have no experience/knowledge in the field. I also make forum signatures, so pm me if you want one... although I haven't worked on one for a while .

Crumbly, but Good

Uh, well, I'll try to get you for the first option, seeing as how I'm a poor student.
I've been working on a project, on and off for a while now. It's small, but I have a dedicated team of two writers and one modeler working with me. It's a Space-Based Shooter/RPG hybrid. As of right now, there's no real fixed storyline set, just the overarching details, but it's going to be set in an asteroid belt, and it's going to be about a conflict between an advanced humanity and a technologically inferior, but much more numerous alien species. The engine is built from scratch, written in C++ and using OpenGL. Currently, the "game" (not really a game at this point, nothing to do ) runs on both Debian Linux and Windows XP/Vista.If you wanna see some screenshots, we have a small forum here: http://advena.awardspace.com/viewforum.php?f=3, and if you don't wanna bother going there, I'll post some which I think are the uh... nicest. Not that they're too nice right now. But you get the idea. In development and all that. ![]() ![]() And here's a youtube video, which is also on the forums:
So yeah. The game's constantly changing, but right now it has in a bunch of features, like loading it's own type of scripts, it's own type of resource files, loading any sort of image, and loading it's own kind of model format (out of necessity, easy to convert to though).. So... uh... interested?

Wow for a little team like your's Eriond you have done outstandingly well! The forums are well constructed and the game seems very nice for a space prototype.
Although the models I usually work on are a bit high polygon I don't think I would have much trouble converting into low polygon. I will be glad to help you in anyway possible! Please add me on msn or email me if you want to get in touch . I would be glad to share you some of my screenshots of models I have made in 3dsmax/Vray, I might need some guidance to correctly grove in with you and your team, but I think we can manage that easily. And you like Still Alive, I love Valve and portal .

I will need a graphic designer to create models and gameplay sprites soon enough, once we get to that stage. Right now we're hammering down the details of the project. After that, we're going to start working on the content, and we'll be creating NPC, item, object, etc lists. We'll be needing models for that. Our temporary forums are at http://www.Viefire.tk.
It'll be an honor to work with you. -Nima304 |
