Any idea what this is?

This definitely isn't GMT time and the clock sometimes shows, sometimes disappears.

It's eastern time.... I don't know whats it for though.

To mark events cause events are usually either in EST or GMT. That's EST time, follow that to follow up on when events start and end.

It marks the time of the current stage of the earths rotation. I enjoy and promote being a smart aleck.
