Default RockTycoon.com - Looking for Graphics Artist

Hello everyone,

In the midst of my search of finding a graphics artist to help with my new project, a couple of people referred me to this forum to check with all of you to see if there was any interest in a new game that I will be developing.

The game will be based on managing a rock band, and in the middle of your music career, you will have the option of purchasing VIP status which allows you to take hand at your own record label. The difference with this game and most is that I don't plan on stripping a lot of basic functionality out of the game for people who choose not to become a registered VIP user. I want the game playable no matter who signs up, whether they decide to become a paid player or not.

The band part of the game will be straight-forward; manage the band from being local, to going state-wide, to then going national and then international. It will be based on real life strategy so that the game has a longer playing effect and the players don't get bored quickly (meaning that players don't earn a lot of money in the beginning, therefore they can't get a huge wallet built up at a young age with the band and begin blowing all of the other garage bands out of the water with ease). I want the instruments to cost as much as they would in real life, I want the band to gain money the same way they would in real life, and I want them to gain fans the same way they would in real life. In short terms, I want the game to be as true to life as possible.

Now, a little more on what I'm looking for..

I'm looking for someone to design custom graphics for the game. Be it instruments, various arenas, stages, crowd graphics, artists to choose from for the band, etc. Me and the designer (whoever decides they're interested) can discuss it further on what we'll exactly be looking for. I'm on the fence of whether I want the graphics to be life-like, or actually give the game a nice cartoon feel with pixel graphics or maybe cartoon-like graphics. I'm leaning more towards the pixel/cartoon feel, but whoever is interested in helping I'm totally up for suggestions on what you can do with design, etc.

If you want to be a permanent part of the project and continue developing new graphics as the game progresses, we can work a deal out so that I don't have to pay you completely up-front for your services, or if you prefer that I pay you for the graphics as you create them we can work that deal out as well. I'll need to know your prices if you choose to go the latter route.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from someone soon!

Thanks,
Ricky Ford
