Internet memes for the most part are internet trends or patterns that everyone seems to catch on to at one point of their online life or another.

Like the PWNED pics, kthxbai, or the obsession over silly youtube vids like Numa Numa, or Boxxy, ...anything that's just too overused and overplayed.
