Default YAZRP (Yet Another Zombie RP)

March 20, 3021:

We never thought it would happen.
We knew about the other towns that have been infected, but we never thought it would get here.
We walled out city.
We kept out anyone who came to our doors.
We didn't think about what was outside.
We farmed our food.
We made our own supplies.
We socialized.
We laughed.
We loved.
.
.
.

We got infected.

The scientists said that rodents carried it in. Flies, mosquitoes, rats and mice, all infiltrated out walls and slowly infected us. We isolated those who were plagued, but even so, more and more of us became infected. I can feel myself.. Changing...

My friend and her family have all been infected. I think they may have passed it onto me. God damn their souls. They're coming for me. This is the last page I may write in my diary. If anyone finds this, I have one piece of advice. Do as we did. Lock yourselves in and enjoy your lives. Because there is no hope for you. All you can do is live your last days happily and turn, locked in by your paradise. God have mercy on your soul.

You are one of a few hundred survivors. After the chaos, you managed to form guilds and keep civility. Unfortunately, some survivors are still trying to weed out the competition. Worse yet, the animals got loose from The Arc, a nature sanctuary. The individual guilds also argue amongst each other. But that didn't stop you from retaking certain crucial buildings; The mines, smelting warehouse, hospital, the butchery, and the main building of the science ring. (A ring of buildings in the center of town.) You also, using scavenged materials, built a canopy of bridges, that take you above or through buildings, going from roof to roof, so you could avoid the wandering dead.

Town Name: Valhalla
Reclaimed Ground: The guild has reclaimed the outer ring. Mineral mine; east. Smelter; north-east. Hospital; north. Science laboratory; central. Butcher's freezer/food storage; south-west.
Hostile Ground: The hostile survivors have taken several small buildings, and roam around town.
Unclaimed Ground: Inner city. Zombies hunt on all of the city floors. The Arc, located in a secondary walled off area west of the city.
~~Guilds~~

-Stone Hammer- Stationed in the smelting factory. Main occupation is crafting. Disputes with North Star. Friendly with Storm Crows. SHs are fantastic fighters, and are extremely strong.

-North Star- Stationed in the North Star Hospital. Main occupations are medical attention. Disputes with Stone Hammer. Friendly with Face Melters. NSs carry first aid kits with them, to patch up wounds.

-Hell Hounds- Non-stationary. Mainly exterminated zombies and hostiles that are too close to a landmark. Disputes with Storm Crow. HHs are great marksmen.

-Storm Crow- Stationed at butchery. Scavenges. Neutral. As a result of scavenging, the SCs have become particularly agile.

-Face Melters- Stationed in science building. Maps undead hunting patters and creates medicine. Disputes with Storm Crow. Friendly with North Star. FMs carry acid with them for certain uses.

~~Weapons~~

Guns are rare, and mostly looted. Usually, guns are loaded with ammo you loot from stores and stuff. Hence there only being pistols and hunting riffles; these guns are common. A 44-Magnum and a .9mm are the most common (and only two) pistols in the city. The rifle use in the city, often used in The Arc to thin out herds or just for sport hunting was a Winchester Model 70.

A blunderbuss, on the other hand, is a simple gun. It's really the firing mechanism, a handle, and a thick tube. It fires by lighting a small can of black power that fits in the barrel; the ammo can vary from steel balls (Hehe...) to nails to metal scraps. Essentially, it's just a small cannon. It reloads slowly, but can mess up the front line of a zombie assult.

Bows are also made, though less common. Though they are not without their usefulness. If you ask nicely, a Face Melter might give you a "special arrow". These glass tipped arrows may contain anything from a vile acid to NITROGLYCERIN! Just don't break them in your quiver.

Melee weapons are easily found or made. The Stone Hammers make a variety of blades; swords, spears, knives, and axes. Allot of your garden variety whack-a-mole armaments can be found in a hardware store, or just pulled off a picket fence.

~~Zombie Types~~


Common Facts: Zombies hunt by smell and sounds. They can easily be drawn away from you with a well placed steak. Obviously, being cut in any way will attract them like sharks. Be mindful of your injuries.

Stumbles: Your standard zombie. It has the mental capacity of a drunken three year old. Still, they organize quickly when near a Kingpin. Alone, Stumbles will wonder randomly and slowly, searching for anything it can eat. Killing is easy, just think tee-ball.

Kingpin: A strange type of zombie. They seem to be able to rally together other zombies and form a pack. When in a pack, they seem to adopt a hunting pattern. This pattern changes from experience, but otherwise stays the same. Packs of zombies have been seen combating each other for a hunting path. The path will change if they cannot defeat the opposing pack, or if they find food in a certain area; in the latter case, the path will move past that area more often.

Roctopus: A mutated zombie with tentacles and three brain pods. It has six eyes; probably a mutated combination of three different zombies. Its tentacles absorb and assimilate minimalism into it's skin, making a hard carapace. It has the ability to calm and control lesser zombies; the Kingpins and the Stumbles. The first discovered was in the mines, along with a collective of zombies.

More zombie types will be added when encountered. Remember, YOU can make a zombie and force an encounter. =)

Appearance: Pictures are allowed, but description is necessary. Don't be lazy.
Weapon: Be creative. Nothing unrealistic. Only three guns are usable; Pistol, hunting riffle, and blunderbuss. (Blunderbuss' are crafted by Stonehammer.)
Guild: See above.
Infection Percentage: Goes from 10 to 75. The more infected, the less you're liked. Side effects may vary.

Appearance: Zero stands at 6'0 feet, 165 lbs. with silver hair spiked to the right and gray eyes. He wears no T-shirt because of the above average body temperature he has, keeping him warm in any condition.
Weapon: Zero uses anything as a weapon, that is, if it is durable. His primary weapons are dual Desert Eagles and a lightweight scythe.
Guild: Hell Hounds
Infection Percentage: 10%

Skills:
Quick burst - Gives Kain a limit amount of speed, draining his stamina as time passes
Adrenaline Pump - An ability a select few have in the Hell Hounds. Enables the user to have more strength than usual and can take more hits. Downside, as time passes, user gets weaker and takes more damage.

((Okay, than. ^^ Yes, pistols of all type are common. As for a shotgun, blunderbuss' are like that, but have a pretty slow reload time. Nevertheless, anything in front of you at the time you pull the trigger won't be when your ears stop ringing.))

Aiden ran and leaped the rooftops with great agile. A trait that all Storm Crows have. He was headed east, towards the Stone Hammer's factory. The leader has sent messengers asking for help. Aiden didn't know what he could want, but he offered food to those who were successful, and the food cache at the butchery was running low. He ran to the edge of the building he was on and leaped off the edge to the next building. "Almost there."

Zero was on patrol, walking along the streets, his DE's clinking in their holsters and the end of the scythe nearly touching the floor. All senses fully functional, and it seemed the world just opened itself up to him. He could hear everything, smell even the slightest hint of a fragrance, and taste the wind, the taste of decayed flesh and molded blood. He could hear nearly everything, but the wind didn't help, blowing sounds from far away so close to him. A hellhold for the Hell Hounds he thought to himself, smirking. Somethings gotta hold us back.

It was quiet, too quiet for any regular day. No gun shots, no screaming, not even the slightest trace of moaning. Something wasn't right...

Aiden was running across a plank when he saw Zero. He easily recognized him by his obnoxiously white hair. He stopped abruptly, almost sliding the wood plank off the roofs.

"Zero! What're you doing down there? The city floor is too dangerous, hence the bridges on the roofs!"
