Default Baldurs Gate 2

just grabbed this game again, never finished it the first time round.

could anyone recommend me any mods for this that they have personally found to be extremely epic?

so far i got one to get rid of the first dungeon because that place sucks arse after the 10,000th time. and i'm considering that tactics mod to make it a bit more challenging.

anything else i should try?

Well Baldur's gate 2 is certainly easier than Baldur's gate 1. Baldur's gate 2 lacked the "adventure". In baldur's gate 1 you have to travel through different areas to cross over to a main quest area. And over those areas, there would be some NPC that would give you some sort of a quest. How ever In baldur's gate 2 you can just lazily just travel through.

There's a mod that lets you sing songs while dancing over hilltops in the nude.

You're not getting it, though.

Oh god I dream of the day when I get a group together that plays every day and actually playing this game from start to an end. I played it thousands of times but NEVER finished it.
Anyways, the only mod I have ever known about/used is called The Darkest Day.
It has plenty of spells, classes, weapons, etc. additions: http://lion.phpwebhosting.com/~teambg/tdd/

In case you haven't played it, can I just say the words 'Planescape Torment'.

Easily the best game to come out with the old BG engine, and one of the best games to come out in the world, ever, amen.

Not exaclty a mod, but, y'know. It's good. So, like, play it again y'all.

Yep... he has a point there... it was probally the best game to come out with the old BG engine, and quite the oddest/funniest set of chars...

Planescape torment and BG are still the best games ever created, hands down

anyway, I wish someday bioware could release a Baldur's gate 2 remake with the aurora engine and stuff, but I'm afraid they will screw it up at some point, remakes are not always a good idea
