Anyone know how to improve my BitTorrent dl speed?

I started at almost 200kb/s, but now it's crawling at 60 or so.

Not much you can do to change it after you've done everything to make sure it's working as intended.

I'm lucky to get 100kb/s on a single torrent, heh.

Well I didn't really expect to get much over 100. It just went tantalisingly high for a while, leading me to think there might be some way of re-attaining that 200kb/sec.

So.....why does it say there's like 20 different seeds, if I'm only using 2?

Maybe your ISP is throttling you?

Go to preferences and connection. Make sure the port listed there is forwarded.

Seeders = People who downloaded the full torrent.

So even if it says 20 seeders and in your torrent it will say 2(20) that means only 2 are actually seeding.

Yeah, I went through all that, made sure the port was listed and stuff, but it still pretends that it's not listed.

Which ISP are you using? As I use Acanac which goes through Bell. And Bell throttles the P2P for me, so I use the Acanac proxy and get 600kb/s.

Get on a private torrent site.When i use it i get speeds like 480kb/s.
