Shin Megami Tensei Imagine



The game revolves around the post-apoctalyptic wasteland of Japan where survivors are attempting to rebuild. A brief game story is below. "In the aftermath of the Great Destruction, those who survived constructed shelters, waiting for the day when they would rebuild their city.

Led by the Seven Philosophers these survivors constructed a massive tower.

This tower came to be called Shinjuku Babel.

Having lost their homes, the remaining survivors took refuge in an underground city called Third Home. This is where you learn the skills and techniques to be a Demon Buster.

Some random stuff:

* Your role in the game is a "Demon Buster" which you become one "officially fairly early on. More can be explained through the games story.
* This game has many cutscenes to help push the story along, this is an underused addition to many mmo's these days and it is great feature to have. It complements the story that, also unlike many games, is an actual on going story.
* You are able to persuade Demons to join with you, through either being nice, or yelling at them. Depending on the demon they react differently.
* The demons are a pet system but the main part of the gameplay.
* Demons can be combined through fusion to create different (in most cases) more powerful ones.
* Demons come in all shapes, sizes, strengths, weaknesses, and so fourth. There are close to unlimited amount of combinations to suit anyone.
* While the game has no "actual" classes they have a vareity of weapons that go from range attacks, using pistols, shotguns, or rifles. There are melee weapons including swords, blunts, and other things. You can even have magic if you wish to do so. All of these weapons come in different forms, from medieval swords, to futuristic plasma weapons, and Old time pistols to high tech rifles.
* The graphics are simply stunning, even on a low setting and the world around you is very well created to get you into the game.
* There is a mounting system that allows you to turn certain demons into mountable ones that allow you to move across the map quicker and easier.
* The game already has a very large fanbase through the games this mmo is based off of.

In the end, the game is just fantastic in multiple ways and I'd tell everyone to at least give it a try.
