Agreed, longest series I've watched was Monster. Brilliant show.

EDIT: I forgot the classic "Rurouni Kenshin"!

I prefer anime that keeps it short and sweet, I only watched the whole Full Metal Alchemist series because it got praised so much. Few 26 episode shows make it into my top 50.

And when was Rurouni Kenshin considered an old anime? I still watch stuff like Gall Force and Tank Police.

Uh? It came out in 1996, you probably saw it as a kid in the middle 2000s?

A series needs a good start
a very very crisis-sy middle
and and happy or a effing tragic ending.
More drama in a anime=better. More suspense = better
This is opinion though.
But that explains why I like Code Geass and Death Note.
I've watched too many animes though.
So many that when I went to my anime list to add animes I began to watch even more Lmao.

So you listed a few shows from the late 80's and a few from the early 90's and now you're listing some from the 60's. You don't make any sense.

"Imokawa Mukozo the Doorman is old" am I doin' it rite?

of course kenshin is old ! lol me was 12 when i saw it for my first time. Now i am 21 ^^

a serie needs to end when the story get brainless and its all the same.We need more fantasy, good storys, not allaways the same structure and so on...then you have a good one

kenshin was a good one (old)
for new one i prefer FMA

i watch naruto and bleach.. i too hate the fillers episode... but we cannot blame the animators cause its their job to make the story long so that the viewers will anticipate the latest release of an anime...
