Tactical FPS? Get Arma: Armed Assault(or whatever the **** the name is) it's as close to ACTUAL combat as you can get since it's a pure simulator. As in you'll literally have to wait 20 minutes in a truck to get to the battlefield. Yeah, I know it's not for noobs.
For quicker, easier, and more interesting tactical FPs, I'd try Swat 4. You'll master it quickly and if not use the paintball gun :P
