Everyone reacts to it differently. All you can hope to do is be a good friend.. There's not much you can do in this situation, honestly, from my point of view. Its something that he has to deal with by himself eventually. Just give him some moral support when he needs it. Just have to wait for time to go by, and for the grieving to finish.
