Hey.

I am the owner of a Nationsim (Nation simulation) - it is in its basics a sandbox game supposed to simulate the geopolitical landscape of the current world with players taking roles as the various nations in the world, trying to cope with their issues and leading them into whatever direction they want (within the limits the game sets).

Now the current version we run is based on moderators doing most of the work (processing budgets, calculating effects etc..) but we are working on a new version that has come a long some way so far (thanks to a programmer I know).
We have so far made a fully automatic budget and a factbook (similar to the CIA factbook) that is updated accordingly to the budget and the changes it makes.

However, it seems this programmer might be getting a little less active in this project over the next time. So what I am looking for is people interested in helping us develop the last few details once this programmer is done with his current tasks (which should give me time to explain more indepth what we need done to anyone interested).

All the work is done with php and mySQL (with the exception of the budget that is made with Java script, as we found it to have some "fancy" effects :P )
If anyone is interested, please PM me or write here, I do not promise a bunch of cash, what I want is a programmer that finds the idea intriguing and would like to give it a try, we do have some funds, but it shouldnt be about the money for anyone showing interest in this.

Feel free to ask questions, I might have forgotten to mention something.

Sounds very fun, I just started learning C++, so once I learn a lot more I'll post back.

Just to make it clear this project isnt dead, but my host was trying to screw with me, so we have temporarily moved location, a deal has already been made for future hosting once its ready for pre release...

Nick and others with an interest in the genre are welcome to contact me, we will have several minor projects going on after release, the math work behind the codes will be done before any projects would be assigned... We are of course willing to pay for the help, but would in any case prefer people with an interest in the idea.

I am 18 years old with 4 years c++ programming experience as well as JAVA experience, a little packet server coding, little VB. Seeing as there are no graphics artists, i am forced to join a pre-formed team. Can i get a little more info on you guys? THe team's composition, your team's experience, and more particularly the GRAPHICS ARTISTS, either 2d or 3d.
