~For some reason after I download the new client in ur guide I can play without patching!!!!!!THX MAN!! but now is another problem, I set my regional language to chinese HK (SAR) but I still cant discode the chinese all i see is the lines instead of words

Yeah, the thing is, it takes FOREVER to patch if you have a really old version of the client, and then it disconnects you. And it sucks cuz you can't do manual patching, and their client on the website is from August... they won't upload new ones unless there's like a massively huge update.

Okay, so is that problem happening just for the patching (just the pics in your other post) or is it even for in game? and you've set the language for non-unicode stuff to HK ... if its just the patching, then it should be fine, since it doesn't really matter much... but if its in game, then I had a similar problem when I used to play on the japanese server, never really solved it myself =\

Give this a try, try extracting the zip files that I uploaded with winrar ran under applocale HK SAR, since the text files might be all screwed up when you extract it w/o the languages crap. hopefully this works.

It might be my zip files that are screwed up, so I'll ask my friends and see if they have had a similar problem when they downloaded them.

Ah sorry, I meant the .rar files (stuff you downloaded from my links). If you have applocale, run winrar w/ the language settings set to HK SAR to extract the files.

~ok i downloaded the applocale from miscrosoft, install it, then extract the file with regional setting of HK SAR, but still dont work....... maybe i am using the applocale wrong? how do u use the applocale? when i start it, I need to locate an application, what should i browse???

You should browse for WinRAR.exe (usually its inside the WinRAR folder under Program Files)

then select the language as
Chinese Traditional (it might appeared as 中文(繁體))

Then just press next and then your WinRAR should now pop up
Go to File, Open Archive and find the .RAR file that you've downloaded from my links. Click on the Folder and then extract to the Gamania.

Then just make sure that in your region and languages settings, change everything to Chinese HK SAR.

Hopefully this works...

I still don't know whether or not it is a problem w/ my files yet, since my friends have not replied to my messages yet and I have checked on my other computer that it works...

Alright, I'm somewhat out of ideas, sorry I'm not very helpful x_x

I'll try recompressing and reuploading the files to see if that helps, but I won't get a chance to do it until Friday =\ so you'll have to wait a bit.

what did u use applocale for ?
extract the contents of the .rar only ?
did u also use applocale for launching the game !!?

or did u do this step ?
i dont see how it wouldnt work if u did this simply for printing the correct characters in game
control panel > region and language setting > advance > change that to chinese (HK)
then again, if u use applocale to launch, i think u dont need to do this step

how do u use applocale to launch? cuz u need to use beanfun to lanuch the game right?
if i were to use applocale to lanuch is it FEZ client.exe or FEZ.exe FEZ update client.exe
