It's the same reason people get bigger trojans when they click the little warning that pops up at the bottom of the screen claiming that you need to download anti-spyware, when itself is in fact spyware.

There are a lot of idiots using computers.

Side story, I actually had someone wanting to buy a Xbox360 wireless adapter, but they had no clue (or ownership of) what a router was. O.O

The world is full of idiots.
