The fault in your arguments are that you're placing the loss of technology in the form of it being pulled like a rug from under us. Of course there's gonna be devastating effects to LOSING IT after we've had it. Though people would still survive, people would still dream, people could still be happy, people could still make the best of their life; That's what's important. And face the music, you're gonna die one way or another and that being said, people STILL die of horrible diseases, people still get cancer, etc etc. And even if you get rid of that, what then? Then you have overpopulation which would only breed something more immediately devastating, a lack of energy to go around.

I don't know about you, I live in this time, I don't think it'd make a difference if I lived in the past. That'd be all I knew. I'm not being ungrateful for technology, I'm just telling you not to tell me to bow down to what is healthy and just as equally deadly. A lack of science isn't a lack of living. A lack of science is a lack of luxury. Science is NOT the end all be all.
