Hmm, interesting. The video where I saw it the dude played C, and it sounded just right, and when I just tried it both ways, I couldn't get Am to sound anything close.

However, I may just be out of tune.

I just started thinking. You alternate the progressions: G, D, Am, G, D, C. For some reason that didn't occur to me while I was playing my ukulele. I always play it that way on the guitar.
