I love all the Slayers series.

Making me pick a favorite is like picking one of your children to live and letting the rest die, that is unless there is only one.

Many have already mentioned some of my favorites, so here's the quick list:

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Haruhi (and currently the YouTube series by the same studio Haruhi-chan)
Ghost in the Shell, movies and series
Elfen Lied
FLCL
Clannad (with exception to Elfen Lied, the only series to ever make me down right cry . . . then go right back to laughing my *** off. Oh, forgot I also did that TTGL)
Death Note
Full Metal Alchemist
[*}Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
and, of coarse, Gundam 00 . . . I didn't really like the other Gundams, though.

In point, I really enjoy animes that tend to really play with the viewers emotions without killing the mood. The persona anime killed it for me when the killed off a certain developed character that didn't have any real reason to be killed off, and yet she was having so much impact on the story.
