I want to start role playing, but I don't know what I should do lol..
I don't want to try and jump in and make an *** of myself..
Any advice on how I go about getting started in all the fun?

Go to the forums there. At the top are some guides. You have to join when its starting. If you need more specific help PM me, or Aerobella

You kinda just have to watch for it. When there is less than 20 posts it usually means one is about to or has just started.

Also if you make one you can only make 1 per month.
