its a great game just know that for the first week or so youll be nothing but grinding. Trust me though, youll love it

youve got

woodcutting
mining
alchemy
airship battles
colosal conquest battles
colosal colosus monsters
chocoboes
chocoboe raising
the story is amazing
fishing
minigames (like the snowboard and motorcycle part from ff7)
this is just the tip of what I know I honestley only started playing about 2 weeks ago

Well if you need a server to join you can join caitsith we have a guild or ls in FFXI that helps new players out a bit.

I tried FFXI.. Couldnt get past level 10 for the first few days.. the whole "Fight two times then spend 3 mins healing" is just not my cup of tea.

But at 10, i managed to group up and all we did was kill -.- wee some fun there huh.

You will like the game if you like team work and storylines and quests with actual meaning. I'm going to be joining back up on the 15th(when i get payed) and i think i'm going to either join Asura or Caitsith with my level 12 RNG if your on any of those server please feel free to add Capell to your list!!

Oh and to the person that didn't seem to surpass level 18. for the first earlyish levels (1-30) yes you do have to party and kill, but once you've hit 30 a whole new area is open up to you, not to mention you didn't even get to your subjob. you can start participateing in missions/quests BCNMs NMs FoV's and it is all really fun. But you didn't get past level 12 at a guess so i wouldn't expect you to understand what i just said. Shame though, you didn't really give the game a chance

asura best server
the game is hardly grindy at all..but if you pick an odd job like summoner you invites to parties will be slow.

the game offers what most mmos dont.

You'd be best playing on Asura if you want a high population server. It's a fun game... Try it out..
