So in a time when people are losing their job and struggling to live... you get fired because you didn't feel like going to work.

The word selfish comes to mind. Sometime you have to bite your lip and take it if only to get to your ultimate goal. I hope whoever gets your job has more respect for actually having a job.

In any case stop pussyfooting around it and just tell him. Stop wasting your time talking to people on a forum and actually do something!

I've also been supporting him the best I can for him to finish college which has been stressing him so much he's been wanting to drop out which I've been telling him not to.

And now I have to told him I just got fired. He's going to be far more pissed than he has ever been before and it could even potentially be very harmful to our relationship. I'm already looking for a new one but he's still going to be so pissed. I don't know what to do, he's been having too much stress as it is ._.

The same goes for my parents.. everyones expecting me to be at work in the morning. I'm pretty stressed.
Life sucks deal with it. The economy is in a recession. Anyone is lucky that they will get some sort of wage, and I'm one to know. My step-mom was laid off from her job and she made over six figures. Want to know why that's bad for me? I now have to get student loans, and pay for school myself. So I would suggest you to tell your boyfriend the same; life is life and he might as well finish what he has started. I'm guessing he'll be more upset once he drops out and then realizes what a selfless moron he is. Then he will be crying to you, and eventually you will break up. I hope this doesn't happen to you. Best of luck.

Yeah, pretty much.

To be honest, I really didn't realize how bad it was. I actually had two backup jobs that I was soon to apply to, and what do you know, my friend who works at one just told me they're starting layoffs and the other one ****ed me over and won't accept me now.

I know I put myself in a stupid spot. This job was actually the first job I ever had and I worked it full time for the first year before it got very physically straining and more than I could handle since we were under-staffed. The turnover rate has always been ridiculous, literally 90%+ employees would quit within 1-2 months of being hired because it's such a bad job. I've seen a crazy number of people in and out in the time I've been there.

I also just sent him an IM with all my thoughts written that he'll read in the morning. I'm doing my best to give a shit, but sometimes that's a lot harder than it sounds as I'm sure a lot of people here would know what I mean. I'm making it my goal to go to college in August no matter what for something I know nothing about (airplane mechanic) and that I don't even know if I'll be able to build any interest into.

i guess its common in the US, but over here in asia, it mostly only happens when the gal is richer, if not people and family will despise the guy.

Just my personal opinion, gals at 19 shldnt really be doing that =/ should be the other way round.

but well, they say love is blind, hope you get a good job soon. even if its a bagger at walmart and stuff, its much better than sitting around waiting for a good paying job during times like this.
lolololol SIGNIFICANT OTHER! meaning hes gay... damn your dumb.

really no way for us to help you other than wish you luck on a job before he finds out or in telling him.

The best thing you can do right now is adjust to the situation, and worry more about your financial status rather than how pissed your boyfriend will be, because him being angry at you isn't going to change anything.

But it sure is a ***** to get a new job when you got fired from your old one for not attending.

You don't have any references now...and if you do, it looks like you didn't work for a big period of time (when you were employed by the ones that fired you).

If your young, it shouldn't be a problem. If your in your mid 20's, your gonna be ****ed. It happened to my girlfriends brother.

well sorry for my english, over here, "significant other" can mean either a female or male. Guess over at your side it refers to homosexual partners.

and its doesn't really matter, i have a couple of gay and les friends, its just that i dont bother asking TS what his/her gender was. Doesnt really change anything i said, does it ?

YOU were working a shitty job to put HIM through college and he has the right to be pissed at YOU? what the hell?

jesus if i did that id get punched in the stomach for my troubles.

first of all tell everyone to p*ss off since it isnt that big of a deal and second its your life and you arent going to stick with something that makes you unhappy JUST because its convenient and JUST because it makes people think you arent irresponsible.

youll find another job no doubt so people need to stop acting like its the end of the world. because its not.
