Life in Japan isn't expensive, life in Tokyo is expensive or any of the other large cities which can be said for every country.

Anyways Japanese society has always been this perverted if you follow the music industry. Ever since Morning Musume emerged it really started to show. What started out as a half decent band turned into a bunch of teenage girls dancing around in skimpy outifts. Now that Morning Musume is no longer profitable because they are too old Tsunku has shifted his focus to bands like Berryz Koubou and The Possible. And who supports these bands you ask? 3 types of people, little girls, Japanese wannabes who think everything Japanese is cool (so pathetic) and older Japanese men (even more pathetic). This is just some of the main stream music widely known but there are a ton of other bands full of young girls that are marketed for the exact same reason.
