Do you have to download splashlauncher.exe?

I already have the game installed and patched but i didnt download the splashlauncher.exe I downloaded the fullpaktrickster.exe. I wanted to know if you have to download the splashlauncher or could you keep the old one? (I think they all include the same files) Thanks~
