You know how they're trying to encourage people to save energy and water. I didn't really know it was possible for everyone to run out.

I thought that since energy was made by wind blowing on those big fans and water pushing through dams and Power Plants and storms, I thought the supply was endless.

As for water, I thought it had like a recycling system.

What do they mean by all this? How do we run out of electricity and water?

Only a very small percentage of the energy we use today comes from so called renewable energy sources (wind, water power). A very big part comes from nuclear power plants and the biggest part still comes from coal power plants. The biggest problem though are all the things that receive their energy from oil. I don't know an exact number but I think I read somewhere that if we keep on burning oil as we are doing right now, the reserves we have left will run out in less than 50 years.

So, that means that in some not far off future, we could be sent back into the dark ages?

Well just be ready when it happens. Be sure to grab your football pads and crossbow pistols because like, those are the most effective things ever when shit happens like this ya know? Seriously, look at mad max /road warrior... Oh wait... all of them died so easy... Nvm...

Seriously tho yes this can and will happen if we keep wasting shit like this. We have global warming going on along with loads of air polution, and we are wasting resources... Knowing how moronic we humans are we will all be ****ed in 50-100 years. Hell maybe even less than that.

Unless we find a way to run our cars with water or air then yes....there will be problems :P

Not even considering future generations. It's not like we're gonna come up with space tech that will let us go to another planet and live there in 50 to 100 years. Impossible.
