The organized PVP community is dying, but still has a significant number of players. PVE is stronger than ever, but only in eye of the north.

anyone from WAR or WOW .. went back to GW?
if so.. how does it feel... like for me.. i left WAR and WOW for other free mmos out there.. but they dont give me the "omg-i-must-go-and-play-more" feeling that both WAR and WOW gave me.. for the longest time... i only played GW for maybe a month.. but left it alone after i got a Xbox 360.. so any thing in GW that will make me stay there? or am i better off waiting on Guild Wars 2? |

Good to hear that community is still alive. As for hotshot, GW isn't that ez to adjust to as a nub. It takes time to know which skills to be used. But, once you do, it will suck you in like blackhole.

I guess the conculsion of my long winded response is give it a shot until you've completed a campaign, then reevaluate if its worth your time. This is all assuming you already have the game of course.

if you liked gvg and ha, all the old school hardcore guilds players are leaving, gvg is nerfed to the ground. I remember the old days of war machine and shiver peak short bus :P but gvg is dead ha is useless ra is boring and too random. what was once a great pvp game is more pve based now(and that is just alot of farming)

Well, maybe I'm not as jaded as some, but I believe the PvE side of Guild Wars is just as active as ever. There is a lot going on in the EOTN expansion, but also things are popping in the 3 base games.
If you are coming to Guild Wars and want exciting PvE, there is still Title Hunting, HM and runs into elite areas. If you're thinking about joining a guild, think of mine. We have alliance members from newbie to beta GW veterans. Our calendar is active with PvE events, contests, scavenger hunts and alliance runs into elite areas. We are not PvP and don't faction farm...unless we want to get aligned skills by acquiring temporary faction. My ad is here in this forum so check COGG out. Enolena Sedai, Guild Leader |
