Default question thats been bugging me recently...

i was just wondering why pc games never have the option to run the game directly off the disk as if it were a console...im sure theres some way to do it so why dont they do it...even if all you have to do is download a software to load the pc games similar to the bios of a console....if they did that itd be much more conveniant and they can offer a service to install the game on the pc if you like..that way say if you have an old game at home and you wanna just play it for about half an hour you wont have to install it for about half hour before you can actually play it
