My brother told me The Thing was a porno about a dude with a huge alien monster cock that kills people. ;/ I didn't see it 'til I was like 15. Great movie, it was a purdy good game, too. ;B

Well, the ending scene is pretty much a giant alien cock monster that kills people, but it's a great psychological horror movie with spectacular special effects. (Not CGI special effects, too, which is always a plus nowadays.)

Also, no The Shining love?

That has to be the movie that genuinely creeped me out more than any other movie. No other movie can compete with its atmosphere and all-round creepiness.

I loved The Thing, I guess I don't think of any of these as horror movies weiiird.
I can't remember The Shining, I think I only saw the ending - it was pretty, though.

Aww, The Shining. I rank it up there with Burnt Offerings but more story driven than action.

It has really slow parts which seems to kill peoples view on it.

The Descent!

It reminded me of that one spelunking story somewhere on the Internet.
