for ps3- uncharted drakes fortune, metal gear solid 4, folklore(not the greatest but i really like it for some reason), resistance 2

for 360- ninja gaiden 2, halo 3(not really a game i liked much but the online community is huge and tons of others tend to like it so give it a shot), oh almost forgot gears of war

on both- super street fighter 2 turbo hd(downloadable), megaman 9(downloadable), lost planet(was one of my favs), burnout paradise(super fun online)

and thats all i can think of for now

You didnt mention killzone 2 for PS3

and Dead space for 360,im pretty sure thats on PS3 though too..

i havent played killzone 2 and honestly im not that hyped about it either...after gta4 being a p.o.s imo and it getting such a high rating i dont trust reviews anymore lol so that games gonna wait till a friend buys it so i can play off of them..and yea i almost forgot dead space...dead space was epic...and yea you can get it for both consoles and pc as well

Xbox: Ninja Gaiden (Don't waste your time on Halo, it is a mediocre-at-best shooter)

I found Grand Theft Auto 4 to be addicting for the first couple of months but multiplayer was not as glamorous as I expected it to be.

Left4dead? Littlebigplanet?

Xbox 360:

Gears of War 2 is a must. Halo 3 if you enjoy online shooters, and pickup either Fable 2, Fallout 3, or Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Good to have at least one of those.
