Chrono's Crony

So, early on in the year, i have come to terms with which fanboy clique I belonged to.
It is definitely Sega. I mean, I won't go through all the reasons, but I realized I grew up with sega. And I just absolutely love their games. So when i saw this, a small trickle of tears covered my face.[
Who else here is a proud fanboy?

Seeeegaaaaaaa!
I remember playing on my half brother's Sega everytime I went to visit him. It was the only thing we did together We played a lot of Sonic and Mortal Kombat (he let me win though <3) I also vaguely remember a My Little Pony game for Sega genesis... but I'm not going to speak about that... |

The sega genesis was my third console. My first was NES then Sega masters.
I used to play mortal combat all the time and some other games, but when SNES came out I played the sega gensis alot less. I even bought the Gamegear from sega which took like 4 double AA batteries and was drained in about 4 hours. So expensive. But I was stupid for purchasing it in the first place just like when I purchased the virtual boy and got headaches from staring into a red colored screen for 30+ minutes. |

I remember playing the gamegear at a friend's house. It was the coolest thing I had ever laid my eyes upon. Besides the virtua boy, which I only got to use once

the sega megadrive was the first console i ever earned (genesis was called megadrive in the uk i think)
i loved it. there were so many awesome games for the megadrive, especially the roleplaying games like phantasy star and buck rogers, plus other awesome fighters like streets of rage and altered beast. so many happy memories |

I used to be a proud Nintendo fanboy.
Now that I haven't played a game in years, except for the occasional Rock Band/Uncharted/Halo 3/MGS4 -- I'm kinda all over the place. Although, now that Super Smash Bros. Brawl is out on the floor for playing at GameStop... let's just say that I've become friends with the manager LOL.

Used to love games like Metroid, Zelda, Faxanadu and Blaster Master on the NES, Then I started to mainly get into the Rpgs more on the SNES such as the FF series, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, Breath of Fire, etc. along with Megaman X. Didn't want to play any games on SEGA Gen/CD. Next was PS for more RPG's (got into strategics such as Hoshigami and Front Mission) and started to get into fighting games more (Street Fighter and Tekken). then N64 got me into adventure games for a while (Quest, Mario 64, Banjo - Kazooie, etc) The N64 also got me hooked on my currently favorite fighting series: Super Smash Bros.
Next came PS2 for me which I stuck with for a while for yet more RPGs. I just started to follow games made by certain companies (Level 5, tri ace, ATLUS, NIS, SE, Capcom, etc.) at that point. Nintendo came out with the GC which had a few good games here and there (Got it for Zelda: Windwaker, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Baten Kaitos Origins, Bloody Roar and Skies of Arcadia which I was glad they remade for GC because I didn't own nor want a DC.) I only got a Wii for Brawl and I haven't messed with PS3 or XBOX360. I was originally gonna go with PS3 but they don't have that many good RPG's (the only reason I'd get one currently would be for Disgaea 3). 360 is getting all the good stuff A.K.A Star Ocean >.>. I never got into Xbox because I couldn't stand the controller, it just felt too damn big, like I'm playing games with a plate or something. I didn't like the DC controller for the same reason. I just followed the games I wanted to play when I could because I didn't own the majority of the systems I played games on in the past. My friends/brother did. When it comes to consoles I don't have a preference currently. Sega hasn't really interested me with it's games or systems (maybe a few here and there). The majority of my buys have been with Nintendo and Sony. The only real preference I've had with a major company was with Nintendo's handhelds. I've owned all the major gens at one point in time simply because they had the biggest and best selection and had backwards compatibility up to a point.
