Ohhhh wait a minute you're talking about the 2nd intro quest? The one that you get from that box that pops up when you log in? I already completed both of those.

The quest I'm on right now is one that's given by the girl in the green outfit next to the tiny old dude.

Yeah this is seriously the most frustrating/hard korean game I've tried to play.
I've attempted using this guide http://translate.google.com/translat...US289%26sa%3DG for the quests, but these damn quests are ridiculous.

The quest I'm stuck on says "Secrets of the roasted meat" and the target is brown meat in delivery unit. Now one would think this means that you have to cook the meat, however I've tried every possible thing I can think of and I can't complete the quest.

Then there's the "secret jungle fishing" quest where I'm given 10 fishing poles. One would think you have to fish to complete the quest and yet I've fished and fished and can't find the solution.

I'm assuming you know how to cook the meat properly so that it isn't Rare or Burnt. When you've got as many Cooked Meat as you need, you bring them over to the Red box, it'll bring up a screen, you select the quest/sub quest you're doing and add the items to the box using left or right. The same thing is done with the Fishing quest and any quest that involves gathering items.

EDIT: Note for the Fishing quest, a specific fish is required to finish it and I don't remember where you can fish them up. Maybe the pond in area 9.

Honestly, it's best just to skip those quests and get quests from the girl in blue or use the second option from that lady.

I'm a bit of a Monster Hunter newb so you'll have to let me in on how not to burn the meat. I always end up burning it when I try to cook it. In regards to the fishing quest, I was trying to catch that specific fish by the boat so that's probably why I had no luck. I'll have to try the pond area then and see if I can catch it.

You have to watch very, very closely or just time it really well. Basically, listen to the little 'song' that plays, when it ends, count to 2 (One one thousand style) in your head and press the confirm button. There's a very tiny window where the meat is cooked, but not burnt. For just starting out on Cooking, I'd suggest both looking at the meat really closely and counting in your head, you'll see what I mean very quickly. The meat will very slightly turn a darker shade of brown 2~ seconds after the song ends, that's when you want to hit it.

basically, the cooking sequence goes as such:

First, the jingle. This is a helper tool for newbs to cooking
Now, when the jingle ends, ya need to get ready to take the meat off the set.
The time to take it off is when it's cooked, or when it's slightly darker (you want it in that little moment in between just raw and completely burnt [meat looks very dark]).

The window of opportunity is fairly small though, about a few seconds long.

Edit: to take the meat off the set, hit spacebar or enter, primarily enter since I don't know how your keys are set

Mad Hatter when you cook meat. Just watch the color of it as soon as the music ends. When it quickly changes to a yellowish color or a brownish color that's when you pull it off for well cooked meat.

Also.. I'm a newb too. can someone maybe party with me later once their done maitenence?

I just need a tiny but bit of help. Everytime I go to the quest lady I can't select any. :S
