It has already been airing for a while, but I'm wondering if anyone else here is watching the Haruhi-chan YouTube series?
For those who don't know, recently, Kyoko Animation revealed that their announcement for a second season of Haruhi was a hoax, and attempt to get people to watch the reruns airing in the time slot they announced. After all the disappointment, though, all of a sudden, this little series suddenly appears on YouTube, released by the official company as an official mini-series. yes, the series is available as a sub and is perfectly legal. Allow me to introduce you to Haruhi-chan, the spin-off of the very popular anime Suzumya Haruhi no Yutsu. Once again, we have a comedy anime, but it lacks the seriousness the original series attempted. This is due to how short the episodes really are, more or less a comical set of shows featuring comical rutines people wish they would have seen more of in the original series. It is quite apparent that the series was put together rather quickly by how poor the animation quality, but when you think about it, it really fits well with the theme. Even so, if you pay attention, one will notice that the animation quality improves with each episode. Not to mention, but it also appears that most of the animated characters are really nicely rendered 3D models. Without further ado, I give you the first ten episodes of the YouTube series. Please note: While a lot of these videos are done by sub groups, that because I'm too lazy and short on time to find the official Kadokawa TV network English Subs. I hope those who have yet to see it enjoy what I've been enjoying for the last couple of weeks. Episode 1: Not my favorite, but it's a nice start to the series. Note, I can't find the official sub for this one, though.
Episode 2: Haruhi gets to play a bigger role in this episode, plus more funnies.
Episode 3: Animation quality starts to reach the level of another anime the studio did, Lucky Star. It's only natural since Lucky Star had Haruhi references that Haruhi-chan should have Lucky Star references.
Episode 4: Epic plot twist . . . in tiny proportions
Episode 5: It's over 9000
Episode 6: May the rivalry ensue
Episode 7: "Wow, look at all the girls" day
Episode 8: Don't ask
Episode 9: Finally, I found an official english sub by Kadokawa anime, the ones sponsoring the show.
Episode 10: It's tough being small

I've downloaded all of Shamisen's release, and I'm happy to say that I'm enjoying this mini-series.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. This is like watching the first series minus the seriousness. It still, nonetheless, a good series. I'm happy to see many references to other animes, and recognizing them just adds to the joy of watching this.
