GTO was never depressing. Maybe a few moments of sadness here and there, but the comic was one of the funniest I've ever read. But it's school life I guess.

Darksin, I have to thank you, It was depressing.. I can't believe... Ugh... It makes me a little angry/Sad. The Ending wasn't really happy ;(.
There obviously has to be a second season because they introduced a new character at the end. I can't wait O.o. @ Jakuza Saw School Days, NOT A HAPPY ENDING. Never Heard of Serial Experment LAIN. No. No No. No No No. Naruto. |

Let's see.... depressing....
Gankutsuou - The Count of Monte Cristo Pale Cocoon (One episode OVA, still depressing) Aquatic Language (Not depressing, but the art is; again, one episode OVA) Now and Then, Here and There (A masterpiece, highly recommend to anyone that can still find it) Bokurano (a hard-to-explain mecha) Hoshi no Koe (another one ep) The Place Promised In Our Early Days (movie) Library War (I dunno, mayyyyybe, if you're into books and philosophy) YEAH THAT'S IT. And for those that don't understand the first two episodes of Ga Rei Zero, they are actually parts of Ga Rei (go read it if you want), and then Ga Rei Zero starts episode 3.

Serial Experiments Lain is one of the best series I've seen. I wouldn't say I found it depressing though, I guess it depends on your point of view about the ending.
I also Recommend Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. Manly tears. |
