An interesting bit this text can be found on pages 7 and 8 where the author goes into the word vampire or variations of. Whether the quotes in this book are to be believed who knows, but it does point towards the pre existence of the word vampire before Bram Stoker's use. I haven't read this whole book but skimmed over it and it does seem interesting, enjoy.
