5 hour update? The update after I installed it and started up the launcher didn't even take 15 mins, and that was during the prime-time for the server.

Are you using the translation file if not go to free mmorpg section then Aion screenshots then page 7 and go to the bottom, someone posted the translation file and how to use it.

Go to your chinese aion folder/L10N

1. Download the file, and place it in the folder L10N
2. Make sure your regional setting are not Chinese but English (US), it's important that it's US!
4. Start and enjoy!

Thats easy that happened to me a lot during the update its just a statement saying you are not connected anymore
just keep hitting the button on the right or change servers for updating I used the second one it was a good speed.
