What a petty reason.
What we talk about is part of a free world. Everyone can do what he wants to. Those schmocks decided that they want to do it; it's worse, if for the money. Deliberately stiring up moral panic, fueling prejudice, social stereotyping? Because it sells? What a shame. Last edited by Ronin; 04-04-2009 at 02:45 AM. |

I don't see that as a little thing either. It's really totally bare of any dignity. @BGLamb: You'd go to prison for telling a kid to get his parents to buy booze? Well, I where I live you wouldn't (not even fined; it's legal to have kids drink alcohol, under supervision and in consent with the parents, if it's not clearly to the harm of the child (eg. like tasting it)); it sounds a little rash. And do you really think, that a kid, being able to play a character in a game, smoking a cigar, will make them more likely to get ****ed up? In what way? Getting addicted to cigars and smoking like 30 Cohiba's a day? Sure thing that it should be regulated, but some fears you mention seem plain irrational to me.
