I am quite curious as to how many other full ToS you have read? Of course aeria out to protect it self, thats what the wall of text is for. Not supporting Aeria, but the OP uses the phrases Aeria has right out of context in ordr to prove a not very strong point. What Aeria has in its ToS is nothing special, nor is it very different from those of other companies. So please, get over yourselves.

The out of context stuff is there to prove a point, how the terms within context are grossly subversive. Why are people forced to sign legal documents they don't understand most of the time to play games? The companies know most people won't understand them, legal contracts can be a nightmare to go through. How many 13-18 year olds have legal knowledge? How many of them actually read the ToS? The same goes for the vast majority of players. |

I just read the the terms for EA's BF heroes after recieving my CB key and I have to say, it was a lot shorter, a lot more legitimate and terms I am happy to accept. They even have a section dealing with employees of the government. And EA is a monster corporation, yet their ToS is more fair and explains a lot more about the kind of service they offer. Aeria's terms look like they've been written by several different people, with bad English skills and a bad understanding of the law. |

Just because you have to accept/agree to certain terms in a ToS does not make them lawful. Legal and lawful are 2 different things.
If just 1 person took this to a US lawyer, you might see this for yourself. |

Here's the thing, you are in no way losing anything other than time, or an account for a game that is provided for free. If you invested money in the game, that is your own choice, and NOT required. Now, let's take Nexon's where they use the scare tactic of saying that hackers have to pay them money, that will not be enforced, and would instantly be destroyed in a court of law. However, the account would still be banned, though these are separate circumstances from your IP issues.
