Can I get a link?

I think what Keith pioneered most was barely using a hi-hat, in fact the Picture of Lily kit didn't even have one, which he used about 67'-69' I think. Keith also for the early ears centerd his drumming around his doubble bass drums, and everything went to those, because that how Carlo Little taught him to play, but yeah in the 70's it was more snare and toms like you said. Keith also helped drummers use the toms more, but that was Ginger Baker and Carlo little used the bass drum as the center too.

It's called O Baterista.

Keith Moon couldn't play that, and even more proof; he couldn't write it.

to be honest, it's impossible for me to decide on one singular best rock band.

The problem with that band is that it doesn't actually exist, but I'm LOVING the effort.

Besides, you can do a lot better than Kerry King, Les Claypool, Rob Halford and Michael Angelo Batio.

If we're talking about the absolute best of the best, technically:

Bass: Victor Wooten.
Drums: Terry Bozzio.
Guitar: Paul Gilbert.
Vocals: Mike Patton.
Keyboards: Rick Wakeman.
Second Guitar: Stanley Jordan.

I don't think Neil Pert could play this, or write it.
Or Keith Moon that.
