I was talking with my friend last night. We started arguing about the best rock band ever. He said the best rock band ever was Led Zepplin. I disagree. I would say Lynyrd Skynyrd/ZZtop/Romones/Beatles/Rolling Stones/Who would be much better than Led Zepplin. What do you guys think?

You can't judge a band on being the best. Music is all about taste.

I'm just asking what your thoughts on him proclaiming Led Zepplin as the kings of rock! I don't get it...

Random Question: But taste is really what you like. I mean really just because he likes Led Zepplin doesn't mean i have to. He still says i have bad taste. Which should i tell him to stfu? btw

how would we measure a bands greatness without the use of biased opinions?

Zeppelin is arguably the greatest band ever. Or at least in your list of not-one-but-many-best-rock-band-ever.

Well Zeppellin certainly are fathers and innovators of most rock music today, but I still wouldn't call them the best. Some would argue Iron Maiden is the best, some would side with Metallica, like I said it's all just opinions.

And yet neither of those bands are rock bands, nor would they exist without Zeppelin.
