My grandmother died of pancreatic cancer about 10 years ago. It was a type of hereditary cancer. Her mother died from it, as well as my grandmother's grandmother.
My aunt also died about 11 years ago from lung cancer. Her only son has Downs Syndrome, and he was an emotional wreck for a long time. (his studdering got worse, etc.) His father left the family shortly after he was born because of his Downs. |

Most of the kids that are told about their close one's dying at an early age doesn't really affect them, it affects them but they don't seem to cry or think about what are they going to do in the future without this person.
For some reason i've never cried or was really that sad after knowing about a loss, I've been to my grandmother's funeral, uncles, grandpa's, and so on...and i had great relationships with them. But in my mind i don't really try to remember that they passed away, i still feel like they're alive. ![]() But it's really sad to know that a child has to redevelope their relationship with someone else instead of building it with their own family. |
