I've made it to the episode where they had returned from the mission trying to return Sasuke. So far it has been pretty horrible overall. I would give it about 5.5/10
I started watching Shippuuden in hopes that it won't be the same as original Naruto but it starts to seem that i am wrong.
Will it be better in further episodes or will it stay like 90% talk and flashbacks and 10% of fighting where Naruto hasn't even really taken part(not including Kyuubi state).

Shippudden goes from something new, to what we knew before, to something better. In my opinion anyways... I like the most recent episodes out of anything.

If the progress and fillers are a bit annoying, just read the manga. At the moment that isn't as fast, but meh.

just figure out which 1s are fillers and which are not and put em in the trashcan =p its very easy to find out what are filler eps in this anime even if u dont read the manga. once all fillers are removed all that remains is an awesome anime

think the biggest reason people hate this anime is cause of all these crappy fillers that are ruining everything (like the ones going on right now, really pathetic) its like they got 2 teams working on this anime lol, team1 are the profesionals working on the eps based on the manga, team2 is a bunch of newbies that stretch the anime length (cash income) by making fillers =p

The fillers are boring but when they're over it kind of makes up for it. The anime is great.

Not ninja specific but some action. Yes there were few fights but i personally would like to see Naruto in action not all blabbering and nine-tail form action.
