After Nexon close most of the hacking forums. The game started to get less and less popular.

Seems like after the games high point, something happened and it started to slip further and futher into a downward spiral.

From what i hear its not that great anymore><

Because people are now realizing how much a shitty game maple story is, they didn't notice before because they were too busy complaining about the hackers.

I don't really think it's getting less popular.
I mean, a ton of people were playing right when Pirates came out, and now it's gone down a bit, obviously... but it's still an extremely popular MMORPG.
I do think there's too many servers, though...
I know Kradia, at least, isn't doing very well.

In my opinion they started coming out with too many updates too fast.

It became a lot to keep up with, Maple Story was constantly changing, so people stopped wanting to go back and relearn everything.

That, and the game has really changed lately in terms of training.
Anyone with money 'buys leech,' giving the poor a disadvantage, and there's always monopolies on high level monster/boss maps.

It might have something to do with so many people hitting 200 now.
Before, it was a fabled thing. Nobody was 200, so there was always excitement in training and seeing who could be highest and get there first. Now it seems like more and more of a dead end game, because the level cap is attainable.

Just my two cents.
