Default XNA project looking for members

Team name:
Currently no team name

Project name:
"XNA"

Brief description:
The project is particularly aimed for those who would like a first step into the industry through an indie game.

This would be the way i would like to go but starting off as a third person ctf and then expanding on features like modes and multiplayer(networking) bringing features that are available on pc over to the xbla (demigod/dota).

Considering theres so many sci-fi and ww2 shooter themed games i thought i'd bring a the modern fantasy from final fantasy over bring in spells and swords with a modern feel to it.

Design brief will be sent to those that are confirmed as on the team.

* The story would be introduced once a simple prototype has been made. Otherwise the animators/modellers will decided on a universal model to practice with while the background is being created.

Target aim:
As mentioned, i/we are aiming to bring forward this project as a prototype for anyone to use as folio purposes. Secondly, the release of a game on XBLA is a very big feat.

Compensation:
As mentioned, this is mainly for portfolio purposes. Compensation will come accordingly if the final hits XBLA and does make revenue. Otherwise this is for pure experience for someone wanting a taste/feel of how it is to work in a team aiming to complete a game.

* i hadnt broguht this up with Hayloe yet but i would've been more than welcome to pay the fees to release the final product on XBLA. (ive been messing around with the shells available and been testing them on my friends xbo360. I'm even getting myself one now just to start this project)
I would like to though, if able, to recuperate the fees to the payee first on any revenue and then from there i would divide any earnings. This can be of course debated.

Technology:
XNA = c# If there programmers that are willing to learn c#/XNA and are dedicated, they are more than welcome.

* I've been told that C > C++ > C# . I've never taken notice of JAVA much but as this is open to those that are serious, learning another programming language is something that will come with this project which in the end will improve yourself. In short, any programmer is open to joining as long as they are willing to ultimately learn C#/XNA

Graphics/Visuals will be confirmed

Talent needed:
A few programmers and graphic designers/modellers.
As of now there is a progammer and modeller.

*I am one of the modellers
Programmers - Hayloe (more would be welcome as programming a whole game would not be easy)
[will be broken down into individual tasks later on]

Modeller/Animation jobs that will need to be filled but could be easily worked between modellers if there are enough.
Level Designer
Character Designer
Ablity designer
Texture Artist
(Various other jobs such as rigging/texturing/uvwrapping) I found these jobs unique as many either hate or like these tasks.

Website:
No website as of yet.

Contacts:
kthuynh86@gmail.com
don't be afraid to ask questions

Additional Info:
Design brief will be confirmed and updated thoroughly to team members.

Feedback:
Any kind of feedback that is encouraging. Please no "omg this is shit". IF something is bad then state what it is and why. And it will be considered.

EDIT * anything with * is to clarify some questions after i posted this ad.

What are you doing to set up team organization? Trac pages or bug trackers? Who is your lead programmer? (Why say C++ to C#, Java is much closer to the C# language).
A little bit more information on the story would be great, you are doing this in XNA so are you the one who will be putting out the $100 to get it checked by Microsoft and posted? If it does get released how will the I believe 70% proifit of all earnings be split? Who is currently on your team, how many people, actual jobs vs this?
Thanks

Talk about a bombardment of questions...

anyways I'll answer what I can of it,
So far team organization has not been a problem due to the simple fact as its still getting started up and were trying to find people interested, so so far just contact information held by kthuynh86 is sufficient, once the project gets rolling that will change of course,

No lead programmer has been distinguished yet, although I believe Im the only programmer on the project so far.

C++ is alot more common than Java for hobbyist's I believe. I did a bit of C++ before I started C# and its similar enough, Im sure what he meant was "if any programmers with experience would like to try there hand at C# and XNA then they are welcomed to, C++ was just a reference to a common language."

The $100 fee for XNA membership is only if you post your game to Xbox Live Arcade, and if it comes to that I will be the one with the membership paying.

So far no profit is expected, and If this changes we will work out a system to divide profit per amount of work done.

Interesting, I guess I am interested because usually people use XNA for the ability to but it on Xbox Live Arcade. I know that is the reason my friends are creating all of their games in it. Hmm C++ is generally used for everyday programmers but that is because that is all they hear of and don't understand how much easier it is to learn Java or some other language first (or even C) lol. But point taken.
What may I ask is your position other then hobbyist and story design? I guess I may be interested, my email is in my signature so if you would kindly send me any information that may be beneficial to my decision I would gladly appreciate it.

Just for expedient answers Ill post the reply =P I myself am a programmer, with a little bit of 3D modeling experience, I'm working with C# and XNA exclusively for now.

kthuynh86 would be our 3D modeler I believe, he is studying for a Bachelor's of Interactive Entertainment majoring in Game Design and has experience with Maya.
