I've looked all over about 10 forums (and hundreds upon hundreds of requests here in OnRPG) to try and find the answer to this, and I think I've finally come up with it! But in actuality it's incredibly complicated!!! (oh boy...)
*High Max Level (always good to know there's something more to do) *Plenty of Tradeskills (same as max level) *A few dialog-based quests, diplomatic instead of hunt or capture (variety) *A fine item selection (my own game will have around 2-3 thousand items) *A strong player influence (the player should have an impact, whether it be with game rules or suggestions, make them feel wanted) *Strong moderator or Game master presence (Make the player's feel safe and create a certainty of punishment) *Strong Character Customization (Allow the players to make their dream character) *Good experience gain (leveling up's always a thrill) *PvP centered towards before and after max level (yet again, always something to do) *Solid, Regular, and Eventful Updates (Do I gotta say why?) *Solid Graphics Less is more hardly ever applies to the gaming industry unless it's making their pc lagg =D
