The anime itself was mediocre. Not much action.

Ok just because you think it doesn't have enough action doesn't mean its mediocre. I think it great it actually has a great story line especially the new one. What types of anime do you like naruto and bleach point less wild swinging sword fights endless filters. I think it has just enough action with a good story.

You shouldn't try to make sense out of that guy, he is a complete idiot (or some 12 year old kid). Yes, I've been trying trying to follow the new series but I haven't been able to keep up. I will probably try to watch some of the episodes I haven't seen this weekend.

The story was good, decent characters, engaging plotline and the end of the final season left it open for another story...

Then they completely ruined that in a movie that lasted an hour and thirty minutes, I felt betrayed.

And I'm not watching the new version because I'd rather watch it in an English dub.

I've recently read the entire archive of the manga, and I liked it more than the anime. Haven't watched the new anime and probably won't bother since the manga is really, really good.

Watching the anime would be useless if you've read the manga, unless you really have the time to re-watch all you've read. I think the only anime I watched the adaption of after reading the manga is Monster, but that series is in a way higher league than "Fullmetal Alchemist".

I've seen the original season of Fullmetal Alchemist it was good until the end and the movie just like Vesper mentioned. This season is going pretty well so far from what I've seen, the animation is stunning (BONES, duh). Some people might find it a bit too fast paced from what I've heard but I think It's all right. The only thing I dislike about this series is the really weird and random humor, other than that Fullmetal Alchemist is great. Hopefully they won't mess it up halfway with this new season and ruin it with a mediocre movie.

Agree to me the movie brought closure to alot of unanswered questions. Maybe alot of my friends say they found it confusing.

well if you didn't watch the series like an addict (which I did ) then you might think it was confusing. I will be really pissed if I find out that they aren't making a continuation though because I hate how they ended it in the movie. It was good, but I thought they should have continued the series longer instead of the movie, because it wasn't up to par with the rest of the anime
