((OOC: I'm stuck on FFXII (the part when you are in a steel labyrinth with tons of elevators and guards chasing you and what-not.) ))

Niola spotted Azzeriah and Nel catching up in the distance and had to release a fit of giggles she was only able to restrain for about 3 seconds. It seemed Nel got Azzeriah upset by dragging her with her, and Azzeriah sought revenge by tugging on Nel's wrist. Despite such a commedy routine, the atmosphere was changing around her. Trying to pinpoint the source, her eyes fell upon Sanguis, and then the sky. The sun had already shifted high above their heads, and a warm, invisible blanket already rested over everything. Normally, it would bring joy to everyone to see the sun, but Niola knew it would only bring disaster.

"Could it already be...noon?!"

As though the words were incantations for the unsealing of monstrous forms to escape their slumber, strange presences wrapped theirselves around Sanguis, temporarily concealing his soul from view. Whatever was causing such an occurance to happen, Niola knew the occasion would not be a pleasant one. Tightening all her muscles and spreading out her right leg and arm out while keeping her whole left side in a defensive position, Niola waited to see what the creatures planned to do. They had already engulfed is body in an obsidian cloak, yet they didn't seem finished with their ominous plot just yet.

"Huh? What are they doing here?" This time, the words didn't even get a chance to leave her lips before blood spurted in all directions. Blood-curdling screams echoed all around them, yet it did not phase the demons that caused the crimson shower to cover the green path before them. As though warning them of the danger the monsters could havoc, some of the weaker plants withered instantly as the immobile bodies flopped next to them, permeating the area around them with the vile aura of what called itself Alateser, a shade.

"I don't care what name despicable monsters such as yourselves would dub yourselves as, just let go of Nel!" Niola bellowed, her golden eyes flaring. "Sanguis, it would have been nice if you told us about your little predicament earlier, but right now...I won't allow those creatures hurt my friend!"

Niola hesitated when she blurted out the last word, but she knew the "border" that kept her away from the "real" world had to be shattered. For Cyr, for Azzeriah, for Nel -- for everyone that dared to get close to her, she had to do something to protect them. "I won't lose anyone important to me again!" At that, Niola brought out her Twilight Blades, illuminated by a heavenly light, like the reflection of the sun's brilliance itself. Grinning cunningly, Niola focused on the wind whizzing pass her in all directions, leading them to the tip of each blade. Bouncing on each toe to the sound of the wind building in momentum, Niola waited for the chance to strike. Then, once she had built up enough power to satisfy her need, Niola tapped both her heels upon the ground and, after shifting her body into a position similar to a squat, rocketed towards Sanguis with immense speed.

"Taaake this!" Niola cried out, making sure to avoid Nel at any cost.

((OOC: I shall leave now. D: Please be kind to my character and don't get her killed. :/ Some moves you can say she does: A spinning attack where Niola rapidly twists her feet so that she looks somewhat like a whirlwind, only with blades sticking out (only if Nel is safe). Of course, fly in the air and release thin tornadoes from above (only when Nel is safe). Anything seen with twinblades (or two blades) that is flashy and deals with wind. xD Or you can just swat her and make Niola fall unconscious for a week. o-o; But it has to be done in a flashy way! xD ))

Cyr blinked, continuing to walk through the forest. As if he was in a dream, slowly the memories were beggining to merge. He couldn't... Who... Who was he? How? If he could only get a hold...

The confused telepathic rubbed his forehead, trying to focus his thoughts before looking over his shoulder. A shade-like figure was strangling Nel, that's all he knew. Whispered voices began to fly into his head.

Let 'im kill her! A malicous, male voice said. N-No! You have to save her! A softer, female voice desperateley asked. Thi-This is horrible! Another wailed in his head. He spun on his heel, his eyes were faintly glowing white as he took a few steps towards the apperation, as Niola flew past him.

"Let her go." He seemed to order, clenching his fists.

Suddenly and without warning a figured reached out and grabbed Nel (Alateser) by the neck, holding her slightly above the ground, all the whole threatening to kill them all.

"Ahh! Let go...Of me!!" She yelled as she conjured up small shards of ice and rammed them into the shade's hand in an attempt to get free.


Just then memories of her family's murder rushed at her, as if by command if the shade.

"No..Not again...Stop it...STOP!" she cried out, forcing her eyes shut in an attempt to block everything out.

Sanguis looked at Nel the memory of her eyes still fresh in his mind. Alteser heard a scream of fury and turned to seel Niola shoot at them. Laughing Alteser reached for their weapon, the hand going to the katana on their back suddenly stopped. "What are you doing you bastard?!" The shade screamed. Shut up, this is my body. It was now a battle of wills, the black eyes of Alteser, constantly had violet circles coming and going during the fight for control. At the last second Alteser stepped to the side to avoid the human missle, but his body still was caught in the tail wind and the shock made him lose his grip on the girl's neck. They were still thrown into the air by the violent attack. Looking back at the girl he saw she was panting and coughing, but safe. Looking down Alteser saw ice embeded in his hand that had gone unnoticed during the mental war.

Good she is safe. Although he didn't even know her name when he looked into her compassionate fear filled eyes, he had wanted to get rid of her fear. Sanguis didn't want this mystery girl to be harmed. Surveying the area around them Alteser saw Niola in front of them, the girl he had attempted to suffocate, a rather scared female who could only watch and Cyr who seemed to struggling with an inner conflict, however it seemed to be settling. Alteser's fury was emenating from him, but he was unable to attack Niola. "If you don't give me control we'll all die! Well then, that's a chance I'll have to take. Sanguis looked back at Nel, and saw her eyes surrounded by thick brown hair, as he looked upon her he felt stronger. Focusing this new found energy on gaining control slowly he changed. The shadow around him faded but before it left a scream emitted from him "YOU CAN'T GET RID OF US! WE ARE FEAR!" True, Sanguis thought, But when was the last time I felt fear? He turned and walked over to the girl and offered the same hand that she had embeded ice into and said, "I hope you weren't hurt."

Nel plopped to the group after being released from Alteser the shade's grasp, but even though the shade was gone, the memories still remained.

She had her hands on her head, and her eyes were shut tight, as if she was trying to force the memories of her past out of her minds eye and back deep into her unconcious mind. (any psycology buffs out there know if I used the right term? I forgot, from my psy class =/)

"No...Not again....Go away...Not now....Get out!" She yelled out, and stopped rocking back and forth. She looked up and saw a boy around 14 with scars all over his body. She saw his clothes were worn and torn in places, but the strangest thing about him were his eyes, one red and one blue (unless they're both purple now? In which case I'll edit)

"I hope you weren't hurt." said the boy, the wounds from the ice shards Nel embedded into the shade's hand were still there.

"Ah...Ahh! What are you!?" she yelled out as she remembered what had happened, "You're that...THING...That attacked me? But...How could you be?" She said as she backed up against a nearby tree.

Realizing she must be coming off as very rude, she gave herself a quick slap against her cheek and whispered to herself, "Wait..What am I doing?"

She slowly stood up and walked back over to the boy, and took his hand. "Uhh...Sorry...I'm Nel, and you are?"

((Im back. So whenever you guys are done your semi-fight, our two groups could meet up.

@DP and everyone else: Well the plan I had is for the 10 or so people that are attacking you guys would split up. One group (containing the evil me) would attack Kain's group, and the other half (lead by the NPC Ves) would attack DP's group. All I ask of DP's group is when they are fighting, not to kill Ves, I kinda want to use her for later in the story. Let her get away or something. I dont care about anyone else though.) ))
