The brute was relentless and just kept attacking, but it was obvious he was getting tired. He had called himself Say the slayer Iteresting nickname does he do all his slaying by coming from behind while the target was distracted? Neither fighter had been injured, yet. Finally Sanguis scored a hit near the man's rib cage and it was quite shallow.
"Little kid you'll die!" The cut on the "slayer's" side didn't bleed, Sanguis thought that killing an opponent because of blood loss was barbaric so the wounds either were turned to ice or were burned so the blood was dried and formed an instant scab. This wound had been made by Sanguis' flaming sword. Again they fought and this time as Sanguis dodged the weapon enlarged and was pulled down to create a long cut down his arm that bleed profusly. If this keeps bleeding I'll lose conciousness. Ice covered the wound so that it looked as though he had armour on one arm. Hmm... Maybe it's time to start trying. This time it was he who launched the first attack, blow after blow constantly changing from defense to offense so he might attack with ice then next time defend with it. When using two swords often they are used together, but what made Sanguis so deadly was his ability to use one to attack and the other to defend. Now Say was barely holding his own, vicous attacks raining down on him he never had a chance to find an opening. Suddenly Sanguis halted his assault and then said "You'll be dead before my sword touches the ground!" With this he threw his flaming weapon into the air and it was instantly replaced by another one made of ice. The pair circled each other then the boy attacked forcing him back ice was now constantly klinging to the brutes body so he had to break it in order to attack then it finally was too much and all but his head was incased in ice. Instead of attacking his now helpless prey Saguis stood back and waited and in but a few seconds his waiting paid off. With a sickening thud the katana that had been thrown into the air came down right into the head of Say the Slayer.

((OOC: Jeez, I said I was gone for a WEEK. :/ Well, prepare for a super long post. >) ))
***Earlier*** Niola twisted her body and applied spin to it as she continued to shoot towards the obscured form of Sanguis, which seemed to be wrapped with the malicious attempts of the beings known as Shade. Unfortunately, only the outer surface of the slick shell of wind that surrounded her while she propelled herself at him grazed the shapes of Alteser, which released a laughter that merely ticked Niola off. Once she took a few steps towards Alteser, though, Niola knew the battle wasn't a complete failure. It seemed Sanguis was fighting to maintain control, something that she herself couldn't do, at least not on her own. "I'm glade that slender, but deadly blade didn't trace itself through my body," Niola thought, noting the effort Sanguis put up to not do significent damage to not only her, but everyone around him. "But...I wonder how long the mind can resist the terrors that threaten to crack at what it may claim as 'feeble'. After all, this...Alteser, was it? -- Alteser might just plot to wipe the last remnants of Sanguis's 'existance' away at any second." After pondering what situation might befall Sanguis, Niola dismissed any chance of him crumbling into nothing as impossible. Not only was it a fact that if Alteser appeared before in the past, an opportunity to rid Sanguis forever would have been possible at some point in time, but something else seemed to have appeared. Keeping away at a far enough distance, Niola observed the scene before her. One minute, Sanguis's eyes wavered for control that had been in Alteser's possession, the next, the "normal" hues that contrasted from each other returned in Sanguis's eyes. "Well, love really does triumphed all, huh?" Niola thought, blushing mildly at the recollection of Cyr saving her from her little "breakdown". "Of course, Nel didn't have to back away so suddenly. Heh-heh." Niola felt her gaze constantly travel to Sanguis's frozen hand, but she said nothing. Instead, she leaned against a tree, keeping her back from colliding into the rough surface of the trunk by pressing her hands against it as cushions, and listened to his story. Normally, such a tale would seem awkward and dreadful, but everyone Niola came in contact with had a sad past. Maybe that was what made them so strong? Whatever the reason, it helped everyone understand one another and not judge each other as strange or unsusual. "Jeez, people don't normally make a speech and then faint right afterwards, Sanguis," Niola announced when his legs buckled and he tumbled over. Using her quick reflexives and her power over the wind, Niola easily glided over and caught Sanguis just a few seconds before his head would of connected harshly against the ground. Glancing briefly at the slightly worn-out group, Niola decided to lay Sanguis's unconscious body next to Nel. ***Semi/Now - Finally- *** Niola clutched her teeth as the invaders upon their small interval of peace charged at everyone. At first, she thought it was going to be a direct attack, but she soon found herself dead wrong. Almost as though they somehow planned out their positions before-hand, the five troops and their leader shifted into what appeared to be some sort of circle. It wasn't the perfect shape ever made, but it did block out any chance for escaping. Such a situation did not phase Niola that much, but she knew she could not afford to be careless. For instance, creating a wind that would sweep away any trace of the enemies would possibly result in harming her friends as well. "Tsk, and they seem quite capable of holding their ground as well." As Niola thought this, one of the cloaked figures approached her. Shifting her body sideways and moving into a defensive position, Niola observed the person before her. The slinder form and poised stance her opponent took was obviously that of a woman. As though to prove so, a flash of obsidian fabric struck the air before crumbling to the ground. "I may not be as strong as Sanguis," Niola began, her eyes flickering momentarily in his direction as a heavenly flame marked the beginning of his vengence against the man that tried to harm Nel, "But that doesn't mean I won't be able to stand my ground against the likes of you and all you stand for!" As though taunting Niola, the woman simply curled her magenta colored lips into a smirk. Perhaps it was the heat of battle, but her skin was like ivory coated with smoke. Intense, yet unreadable wolf-gray hues narrowed at Niola before vanishing and appearing beside her. Realizing that the odds were against her if she did not put up a serious battle, Niola blocked a fist curling from below and up by crossing her arms and bending her back and legs for support. The defensive move allowed her to escape any major damage, yet it caused Niola to slide across the ground and a cloud of dirt to lift from the ground into the air to temporarily blind her. Then what felt like a bullet spiralling into her head left her nearly unconscious. "D-drat. If I do not get in the air, I might not last long." As if reading her thoughts, Niola felt the ground beneath her shake. Wasting no time, Niola leapt into the air, arched her back, and felt herself flip backwards over the woman. Showing no mercy, Niola lowered herself to the ground as her hands tugged tenaciously at the stream of obsidian hair held in a loose ponytail. The woman screamed as Niola followed through by taking her nearest arm, and, after allowing a whirlwind of wind to keep her afloat, hurling her into someone else. "Nel, you sh-shouldn't...hah-hah...stand in the m-middle of..." Her voice trailed off as a sensation ran through her body. It wasn't terror or fear as her eyes focused on the leader, but familiarity. "D-Dzi?" ((OOC: Dun dun duuuun! Alrighty, now that that is done, I can EAT!~ ...while the computer reboots for a scan... )) |

Cyr blinked, his head was in a whirlwind of lost memories as the events unfolded before him. His own consciousness was somewhere else, lost in the maelstrom of floating regrets, glimpses of lives past that haunted this place as the consciousnesses began to meld into his being. Before he knew it, the group was surrounded by shady figures. Hate-filled warriors dressed in robes.
Cyr locked his now diamond-white eyes onto one of them. His hair was a firey red, wild and frayed as Cyr mereley stared at him. The robed figure stared back and lifted his hand, sending a large fireball at the telepath. Who retaliated by holding out his hand, sending a massive blast of "telepathic wind" at the ball. Dissapating it before it could harm him. Suprisingly, the boy mereley swayed lightly at the force. "Leave, now." Cyr seemed to order, standing his ground. His jet black hair swaying lightly in the wind. The boy mereley stared at him, Cyr delved into his mind for a moment. And he saw... Nothing, absoluteley nothing. Cyr suddenly spun on his heel as his feet seemed to crackle alight with electricity. Spinning on his leg, he swerved it out as the electricity crackled harder before a deafaning sound much like that of lightning striking the earth thundered in the clearing around them. Sending the robed teenager flaying back into the tree behind him. Cyr never really researched his secondary magic as much as his first. Suddenly, a vision sprung to life in his head. __________________________________________________ _________ "Now, it's time to discuss your other talents, Cyr." Jacob stated, the man had his kind and warm posture, as allways. It was odd, the man never seemed to stop smiling. Cyr looked down at his hand and raised an eyebrow. He had allways wondered about the tingling, lightning like sensation that flowed through him whilst in combat. "Secondary powers?" He asked. A curious look dancing across his features. "What do you mean by that, Jacob?" Jacob mereley chuckled, "You'll see. Outstretch your hand, Cyr. Now. Imagine thunder flowing from your abdomen, up your arm and flaying out into the area infront of you. Imagine the lightning crackling all over." Cyr did so, yet the thunder didn't leap. Instead, his fist was coated with the blue, dancing electricity. He raised his eyebrows in stunned suprise. "How did I never find this...?" __________________________________________________ _____________ The rush of the lightning seemed stronger than ever before now, he began to charge his fists with the electricity, looking up at the emotionless boy with wild eyes. Cyr allmost felt sorry for the kid, who set his own hands alight with flames. He readied himself as Cyr suddenly sent an image of overwhelming emotions into the teenager's mind. The boy suddenly stood there, stunned as his robes swayed, perhaps he was not used to this feeling. Cyr decided to use this to his advantage, leaping forward, he outstretched his hand and grabbed the boy by the throat. The thunder began to dash over the robed teenager's body. Which wildly spasmed under the touch. He pressed the boy against the tree as the life was being drained from his body. The horrible smell of burning flesh soon invaded Cyr's Nostrils as the lightning began to take affect. The teenager's eyes misted over. Cyr knew he had killed him, tossing the lifeless body to the floor, he turned to the others. "Who's next?" ((Sorry for killing off one of your squad members, but... )) |

When David was almost a hair away from the doorknob he could feel something touching his shoulder but it obviously wasn't the creature they were calling "Death". He began to scream at himself while tugging away at the creature, "Wake up! Wake up damnit!" David screeched at the creature and lightning shot down from the sky at the creature and it let go. He flew back and it almost screamed as well.
David could see the setting a textures around him twisting into an odd shape like on a comic page after you spill soda on it. He soon woke up with a cold feeling on his wrists. He looked down and saw handcuff type locks around his hands. The other men at the campfire were gone and David seemed confused. He looked around for any type type of security and he then began to do a large prey. He closed his eyes and he used a puddle to make a stone cold lock pick made of ice. He picked up in his mouth and he shuved it into the keyhole and turned it. The locks opened part way for some type of security matter and he closed his eyes for anoher prey. Water from another distant and small puddle formed around the locks. He stood up and he ran at a rock wall, and he smashed the locks as hard as he could at the wall. They shattered and David shook the cold water off of his hands. He looked at the exit way and saw a small peephole. He ran over to it and looked through it. He saw the outside forest and he grinned. He kicked the door open and he looked around. He saw emptiness and he said to himself quietly, "Are these guys getting there drink on or summit'? They sure do suck at securing these places..." He laughed and he walked toward a random direction. ((Kinda short post but w/e. I still don't know where you guys are all at, if you could tell me then I'll make David meet up with you guys. For teh winz! ))

((OOC: *sky, the first time you used Niola, it was suppose to be Nel. Also, Niola kind of saw Dzi, but...meh, it doesn't matter. Anyway, Kain, Dzi went after Cyr as his opponent, so...please respond to him so Niola and Nel can finish gawking at Dzi trying to kill Cyr. ))

((DBP, you guys are at a campfire god knows where, but I assume somewhere in a forest. Cyr, Niola, Nel, Azzie, and Sanguis are in what I'm assuming is either a forest clearing or a forest path. Perhaps you guys aren't that far away from us? Of course, *sky probably wants us to fight one group at a time, without coming all together. So maybe after all our fighting is over.)) |
