((Oh I'm so sorry if I make this too long. I tend to get a bit carried away when I write. >.< And sorry for jumping in at what seems like a very intense part o_o anyway, hi! ^^))

Name: Kiyoko Sareen

Age: 14

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Main Magic: Water/Ice

Sub-Magic: Healing (Can only heal others and not self)

Weapon(s): Katana

Appearance: Kiyoko has long dark blonde hair that goes down to about her waist, yet she never had the straightest hair like the girls she envied do. It always waved at some parts, but it was pretty straight which made it unique. Her eyes are blue like shining sapphires, yet dull from the things she has witnessed. She was skinny, for that was just the way her matabolism was, and for her lack of eating. Her clothes are not exactly what you would call lovely or sexy, but just something a lazy person would put on to get the day over with. Kiyoko always wore black t-shirts that were fitting and showed off a bit of the body she had, but the big black sweatshirt she wore over it hid herself quite well. Most of the time she'd switch from black pants to jeans, but mostly she wore blue jeans. At school she would wear black sneakers with piano key printed laces, but only because she had to. Anywhere outside of school she would either wear abnormally bright socks or leave her feet bare.

Bio: One day while wandering about the forest that was a few blocks away from her home, Kiyoko was sitting against a tree and playing with the water of a small pond a bit using her bare feet. She looked around a bit, wary of who might be over-looking her as she was contemplating on doing what she wanted to do. Seeing that no one was in sight, Kiyoko smiled a bit to herself and hugged her knees to her chest as she flicked her hand to the right a little bit as if slapping an invisible being. As soon as she made this gesture the water moved a bit making a small little wave. Kiyoko had no idea how she could possibly do this, but ever since a certain day came she knew she was not like other people.

Ah, she could remember that day so clearly when she realized her unknown potential; it was on her mother's twenty-ninth birthday and Kiyoko was seven-years-old. Kiyoko was an only child, and her father had abandoned their family when she was an infant. Right when Kiyoko was in the middle of singing her mother happy birthday, there was a hard knock on the door and a deep voice yelling, "I know you're in there! I know she's in there! Open up!" A once cheerful Kiyoko had a puzzled expression as she watched her mother's grinning face turned into a panicked countenence. "Kiyoko," her mother whispered harshly, "go to your bedroom right now. Lock the door and hide in the secret room in the closet. Turn off all the lights and no matter what you do or what you hear, do not come out." Kiyoko looked at her mother like she was crazy, and knew what she was ordering was what she had to do yet was so curious to know why. "But mama, why?" Kiyoko asked her eyes widening in sudden fear and immense curiosity. The knocking at the door became more urgent and louder. "I can't explain now! Go!" her mother whispered more demandingly. Kiyoko nodded and ran up the stairs into her bedroom. She grabbed an old teddy bear off her bed and locked the door running into the closet as well as shutting those doors. As the front door of her house opened she could hear her mother say, "I won't let you have her you know." Kiyoko's hands started shaking as she moved a piece of loose carpetting and found a metal knob that led to what she called her 'secret hiding place'. "You don't have a choice," the deep voice replied as Kiyoko nervously opened the door and hid in the small secret room. "I knew it'd come to this..." she heard her mother say as Kiyoko grabbed the carpetting with one and an the door with the other as she threw the carpetting over the door and shut the door. Her whole body shaking, Kiyoko hugged her knees to her chest and her teddy bear nearby as she listened to what was going on below her.

"Just tell me where she is and I won't have to make this too painful," the deep voice said.
"Are you crazy?! I won't let you have her no matter what!" her mother yelled.
"The potential your child possesses is greater than any which you may know! If used correctly she can be a great weapon!" the deep voice tried to persuade.
"A weapon? She will not be used, and especially not by the filthy likes of you! Get the hell out of my house before I make it where you can't even move to get to the door..." her mother threatened.
"Heh," the voice snickered, "well then I do apologize for what I must do now."
Kiyoko winced as she heard the clashing of what she thought was metal, and then her mother's scream. She had never heard her mother curse before this day, but she ended up cursing as suddenly all conversation and sounds were silent. Then feet started stomping up the stairs.
"Come out come out wherever you are... I won't hurt you little girl, you just have to trust me..." the deep voice said as Kiyoko started hearing various doors of her house opened and slammed.
Kiyoko covered her face with her teddy bear and tried not to cry, but could not stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks. Then she heard the door of her bedroom open, then the doors of her closet. 'Oh mama... where are you?' she thought to herself as she heard footsteps directly above her head.
"Damn it! Where is that child?!" the voice cursed as the man ran back down the stairs and out of the house.
Kiyoko waited in her little hiding place rocking herself and her teddy bear for about a half an hour until she just had to come out and find her mom. She ran down the stairs crying, "Mama? Mama, where are you? Mama, who was that?" Kiyoko stopped dead in her tracks as she saw her mother lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood, struck in the chest near the heart by a blade of some kind. "MAMA!" she screamed as she ran over to her mother's side crying harder than before. "Oh mama," she whimpered as her tears landed on her mother's cold body. Kiyoko grabbed a hold of her mother's hand and rocked back and forth with it, until she heard her mother say softly, "Kiyoko?"
Kiyoko couldn't believe it. "Mama?" she asked.

"Kiyoko... I don't have much time, but you must listen close. I was dead, and I still am, but you saved me with your gift. Yet you are still growing, so your gift is not that powerful enough. Kiyoko my darling sweet girl, you must run far away from here. Keep running until you find a police station and ask them to find your father. My child, you have gifts, gifts that do not compare to that of other people you have been friends with for a long time. These gifts are special, but you must not tell anyone about them. Don't let that man catch you, and I am not able to be saved my sweet Kiyoko, but you are. Run my darling, I will always love you. Don't forget what I told you," her mother's last words were as her pupils stopped moving around and her hand lost the strength it had to hold onto Kiyoko's hand. "Mama? Mama!" Kiyoko cried as she grabbed her teddy bear and ran as fast as she could away from her home, away from the people she knew, and away from everything.

Kiyoko, now fourteen-years-old, winced at the flashback that over came her and made another little flick with her wrist making the water move again. She lived with her father and his wife and her three kids, all of them normal. Kiyoko did not talk about her 'gifts' with her father, and her father hated her for them. His wife and her children gave her the hardest time, and living there was like living in hell so she described it. In school she was always called a freak and made fun of for various reasons, and her little walk into the forest was her way of escaping it all. Suddenly, after all the little waves she made in the water using her hands, a little piece of paper floated up from the bottom hidden in an envelope with her name written on the front. "What's this?" she asked herself as she grabbed the now soggy envelope and opened it taking out what looked like a flyer. She started laughing to herself and tossed it to the side a bit thinking someone was playing a practical joke on her. Then she grabbed it and looked at it more clearly. "Anything's better than here... so what the hell," she muttered to herself as she got up and kept her eyes onto the flyer as she started walking deeper into the forest. The trees shifted and changed to something she has never seen before when she's exploring. A bunch of ruins of what seemed to be a huge building stood in her path. She looked at the flyer in disbelief. "Lies! Of course it was just a practical joke! How could I even fall for it?" she muttered to herself.

Talking

((OOC: Wow, mariesharley9, it has been a long time since I seen anyone post that long. You may want to break your paragraphs apart with spaces in between them for others to read. Someone who sees text smashed together like that might find it difficult to read. Still, I love how you described your whole background in an actual post, instead of a summary. I enjoyed reading it. ))

Niola knew that getting answers would not be easy. Still, she was shocked the woman didn't immediately fight her. Instead, she tried to reject Niola by threatening to murder her and her friends the moment Dzi returned back to "normal". The bitter manner she spoke to Niola merely confirmed the question of whether or not a chip corrupted her thoughts and warped them into the distorted view of whoever toyed with nearly everyone at the academy. In fact, it was almost as if they considered each other as a villain, their beliefs being similar to an antagonist in a story. Wasn't that usually how wars were started? Two sides attacked one another, assuming that the intentions of the other would destroy them. In the end, both sides were protecting something they loved and cherished, making the war seem like a meaningless cause. If such a situation was happening at the moment, then wouldn't that mean a ton of innocent people were killed for no reason?

"Who do I think I am?" Niola pondered the words out loud, hoping to address each comment the woman spoke. "Well, that can be answered by explaining why we are doing what we are doing. I am someone who is trying to protect something...my friends. We are currently fighting the people you stand for because they killed--no, that's too polite. The word I'm looking for is massacred--they massacred a lot of people. Granted, I never knew them, but I do know the people who stand by my side. If you try to stop my comrades and I, that makes you AND your comrades our enemies."

Niola pretended not to notice the sharp, slender blade positioned at the woman's side. Instead, she kept her gaze locked on the woman's face, peering intensely into the spot that would have been her eyes. She did not need her Twilight Blades to fight, for her power of wind manipulation was enough of a weapon to deal with. Perhaps it was because Niola had no secondary, magical ability that she knew of, but her control over wind was strong. It would be unwise of the woman before her to attack her on her own, unless she too had some hidden talent that could counter her (Niola) own.

"I've explained my reason for being in this war, so it is only fair to give a response of equal value as well. That is, unless you have no information to share. If so, that is too bad. I happen to know some data on Dzi that I doubt even you would know. But, if you are not interested..."

"Tsk, I hope I am not interfering in the business of this woman too much. It is obvious she and Dzi were sent here to kill everyone who survived the incident that befell the academy. If I meddle too much, she might murder me on the spot. That, or she might go after someone else while their guard is down, like...Cyr! I have to try not annoying her too much, and if I do, stop her from getting any ideas that may involve a plot to kill Cyr while he is unable to defend his body from harm."

The One nodded, quickly retreating itself from Dzi's mind, everything seemed to fade for the creation as it retreated. "The One" became words, names... Cyr.

__________________________________________________ _____

Cyr let out a pained, growling sound as he retreated from Dzi's mind, stumbling backwards as he staggered and collided harshly against a tree behind him. Breathing heavily, trying to make sence of his surroundings after mixing his mind with so many others.

"It is done." He stated, trying to regain himself as everything around him seemed hazy.
