Brief description:
Well, it's been a while but it's back. Magnastorm is an very old (~8 years) and dear project for me and it's been used mainly for me to learn different techniques and expand my development skills. It's the first project I ever started and it has got me far enough to become an IT-manager in a big company in real life. Magnastorm is a web based multiplayer game, it's been top 10 ranked on this site a long time ago. It's been developed in PHP, C/C++, VB and it's not back to PHP as it once started at. I've now got the financial means to actually run this game. The project is mainly for learning and for fun, therefor I do seek people that considers it the same. There is ofcourse paid positions at the project since I do not expect everyone to spend their free time, for free.

Target aim:
This is and will be a free game to play since it's developed mainly for fun.

Compensation:
I will pay for certain jobs like pixelartists/conceptartists and 3D artists.

Technology:
It's targeted to web browsers, programmed in PHP and hosted on a linux server.

Talent needed:
Beta testers, just to help me test out the game and give me feedback on features to be added or improved.

I need a storywriter to scribble down my thoughts of what the game is about and the history of the world and characters. It's also important that you have a good imagination and english writing skills.

I need pixelartists to make the wonderful graphics for the maps in the game.

I need conceptartists/3d artists to make fun avatars and other graphics for the game to make it more alive while not navigating on the map.

Story:
Melkei is the alliance between dwarves and humans. Dwarves was once enslaved by humans but was considered free individuals by time after proving that their somewhat like the humans. Shalion is an alliance between elves which goal is to protect the earth. The new generation of elves where called war elves, they have less of patiance with the humans and other threatening the nature rather than the other elves due to that they come from families ruined by Melkei expansion. Shalion were defending against Melkei´s expansion, Melkei researched then into necromancy so they could bring Shalion to their knees. The black magic later consumed the magicians which became dreaded by Melkei and later thrown out creation the fraction of Nosgoth. During that process did the forsaken, psychee and physical form ruined by various experiments and other dark forces, try to go back to Shalion but was banished when they could not prove to controll themself, thereby joining Nosgoth.
