If it doesn't work, at least the japanese/chinese characters will actually show up so you don't have a bunch of boxes and gibberish everywhere when you get the game working. That way will also help you recognize things later like these characters together means this or that, etc.

I know, I know! I already HAVE those installed. And I'm not getting a runtime error. My entire screen is white except for the menu boxes. Like, when I go to the char creation screen (somehow, I just clicked something) I can see the words Select A Character or w/e it says, but the rest of the screen is white! >_<

I was just referring to the part with "all of the words are blocked with white boxes" part. They're not being blocked, they're just not displaying correctly. The "select your character" portion is most likely just a picture and thus why it displays correctly.

And, the method described above... the key aspect of it is not installing asian languages, its running the program under the japanese language. By default, if you bought an english Windows, it'll run programs with the expectation that you're running programs made in english. According to my limited computer knowledge, that means that if you run a program whose default language is say japanese, when it displays a certain character on the screen, it'll request certain characters not supported by the english system (since its japanese) and thus the square boxes and other jibberish. Apparently the game does not use unicode or something (or whatever is happening and thus it probably can't access those language packs installed), so try running it under japanese in the advance tab. That will most likely fix those "boxes."

I'm not too sure about that white screen.... but at least you'll be able to display japanese characters when you fix it ^^.

Check all the NPCs in town when u get the flower in your item window u have to complete the ANIMA quest at the right spot marked on map

OK so i get the game in japanese its just all random crap. I have ie running in AL for japanese and still nothing. and yeh lol um i have japanese installed figure im on a korean os. um so anyhelp be great lol
